Cal-Berkeley Provost Steps Down after Internal Fighting between Administration & Faculty

Claude Steele, who had been serving as a provost since 2014, has stepped down from his administrative position and will return to teaching. He was heavily criticized over handling of sexual assaults and the school’s budget.
