Catholic Colleges: Quo Vadis?

Catholic colleges operating in the secular world could go the way of Protestant colleges in the last century or so. “Harvard, Smith and Oberlin were started to spread the Gospel,” Michael M. Jordan of Hillsdale College reminded the audience at the Philadelphia Society’s regional meeting in Atlanta in early October.

Flash forward to 2013:

Indeed, Spencer Irvine of Accuracy in Academia has compiled a list of colleges founded as Protestant institutions that includes not only all of the Ivy League but also American University, Duke Emory, Temple and Vanderbilt .
