SAT Rap (Video)

Can the SAT be cool? The makers of this motivational video certainly try.

“Relax” by Charta Squad

YouTube user “Elka131” writes that the video is “created by teachers at the Believe High Schools in Brooklyn, NY.” Nancy Griesemer at The Examiner [1] and Eric Hoover at Tweed [2] attribute it to Williamsburg Charter High School [3](WCHS), which is part of a network of three charters in Brooklyn, NY.

WCHS serves a low-income community (79% of students were eligible for a free lunch in the 2005-06 academic year).

Founder Eddie Calderon-Melendez opened two more charters—Northside Believe and Southside Believe—this year, according to [4] the NY Daily News. But last month some community members were upset by the decision [5] to pack these three charters and public school students into the same building.
