The Royal News of my alma mater—the University of Scranton—brings me the latest at Da U:

o   Mahatma Gandhi’s grandson;

o   A play by prison inmates;

o   An earth day fair; and

o   A diversity festival

The year I graduated, 1981, Father Theodore M. Hesburgh of Notre Dame was the commencement speaker. Before I came to Scranton, legendary comedian Bob Hope was the commencement speaker.

Often I have felt that I was born too late. Never have I felt that I was born too soon.
