Global Warming Education Edict

The topic of global warming is a heated one, no pun intended.

If you have been reading our e-mails for a while, you will know that we often point out how California’s schools are becoming less concerned with educating students and more concerned with indoctrination. A bill requiring that controversial global warming propaganda be taught to our school children proves this point.

SB 908, introduced by state Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto), is currently being considered in the Assembly. SB 908 would require that “climate change” be taught in California public school science curriculum.

“I find it disturbing that this mandate to teach this theory is not accompanied by a requirement that the discussion be science-based and include a critical analysis of all sides of the subject,” said Sen. Tom McClintock (R-Thousand Oaks) who spoke out against the bill during the senate debate.
