Due to the passing of the Anti-Terrorism Clarification Act of 2018, signed into law in October 2018, about thirty students from Palestinian territories in the United States will no longer receive funding. These students are studying U.S. institutions in the Middle East and they are a part of the U.S. Middle East Partnership Initiative’s Tomorrow’s Leaders scholarship program. It gives financially disadvantaged students from the Middle East the opportunity to study at the American University of Beirut and Lebanese American University.
