A ban in Congress was put into place regarding energy and engineering fields for Iranian students, which is a part of the sanctions against the Iranian regime. But, the University of Massachusetts-Amherst said it would comply with it by banning Iranian students from these fields, but have since reversed course and are taking another look at it.
