MS NOW anchor Nicolle Wallace said she had to stop airing President Trump’s press briefings on her show during his first term because they “hurt” her to watch.

Wallace made her remarks on her Best People podcast to former CNN reporter and fellow MAGA critic Jim Acosta, during an episode spent criticizing Trump and his administration.

At the time, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who is now the governor of Arkansas, was serving as the White House Press Secretary.

“I stopped carrying Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ briefings—just refused to carry them,” Wallace said. “Because having worked there, it like actually hurt me to watch her lying.”

Wallace added, “every press secretary and every White House” tries to get the best possible coverage and put their spin on stories. However, she said the “lies” from the Trump administration on illegal immigration were too much for her. She didn’t compare the supposed “lies” of the first Trump term with those from the Biden era, where the White House covered up the president’s declining mental acuity until it became glaringly obvious even to Biden’s allies in the media and endangered the country as a whole.

Acosta now labels himself as an independent journalist, yet he spends his time bashing the Trump administration, only cementing the bias he was accused of while employed by CNN.

Wallace was the communications director for President George W. Bush but has since gone full liberal and anti-MAGA as she has built a career at MSNBC and MS NOW.
