Cuba & The War on Terror

While the United States government focuses on the Middle East in its war on terror, closer to home, U.S. Representative Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Fla., stresses that Cuba is a terrorist state.

The Cuban regime maintains “bank accounts in Iran,” Rep. Diaz-Balart pointed out at the Heritage Foundation last month. The congressman himself was born in Cuba.

On the same panel with the congressman, the State Department’s Robert Blau pointed out that every foreigner in Cuba is a target for espionage. Blau is the Deputy Director of the Office of Cuban Affairs at State.

Christopher Simmons, intelligence officer, U.S. Army,
stated that Cuba doesn’t share intelligence. Intelligence is a commodity for Cuba.
