Tomorrow morning [Nov. 11] at 10:00 a.m., Mat Staver will deliver the keynote address to more than 10,000 attendees at an event to kick off a student-initiated and organized pro-life conference at Liberty University. The event will be broadcast on the Liberty Channel and on the Internet via an online web streaming broadcast. The program will also be archived online after the event.

On Wednesday afternoon Dr. Ergun Caner, President of Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary and Graduate School, will discuss abortion and the Bible. Mat Staver will present a lecture with a question and answer session on abortion and the courts.

The conference is sponsored by the Student Government Association, which will host events on Thursday and Friday featuring notable speakers, including Dr. Clenard H. Childress, Jr., founder of the nation’s largest African-American pro-life organization; Carol Everrett, a former owner of an abortion clinic that facilitated 35,000 abortions; and U.S. Congressman Trent Franks from Arizona.

Norma McCorvey, “Jane Roe” of the 1973 Roe v. Wade case, will be honored at a luncheon. Ms. McCorvey is now a professing Christian and a vocal opponent of abortion. The conference will conclude with a student-led workshop on activism led by the Students for Life chapter.

Liberty University, the world’s largest evangelical university with nearly 50,000 students, offers more than 60 programs of study.
