The controversy began when a video clip went viral on the internet, where an Orange Coast College professor named Olga Perez Stable Cox went on an anti-Trump rant and said that Trump’s election was an “act of terrorism. Now, the student who recorded the rant has been suspended for the current semester and the summer semester. Another part of his punishment is a three-paged, double-spaced paper on why he recorded it in the first place and how it affected Professor Cox and the Orange Coast College community.
