The professor, Felix Coe, used to teach biology at the University of Connecticut. He is a Muslim, and insisted students visiting his office take their shoes off and say “Bismillah,” which apparently is praise to Allah (or God).
A video of his exchanges was recently publicized, but the university said that soon after the December 2017 incidents, Coe retired and the university rectified any issues from his conduct.
