Shaving one’s head is apparently solidarity for those who do not have hair on their head? A female student at Villanova shaved her head on Facebook Live and then wrote an op-ed about how hair privilege exists:
A female student at Villanova University took to Facebook Live last month and shaved her head to demonstrate the “privilege” she has by growing her hair out.
Yvonne Nguyen cut her hair on March 17 and posted a live video of it on the social media platform, Heat Street reports. She recently wrote about how her hair is a form of privilege in an op-ed published in the campus newspaper.
