From the Campus Reform:

Portland Community College kicked off “Whiteness History Month” Friday with the first of over 100 planned events, starting with discussions about inappropriate approaches to tolerance.

According to Oregon Live, PCC officials are publicizing this month’s events in an effort to overcome the controversy that has dogged the program, even releasing a video answering the eight most frequently asked questions about Whiteness History Month.

Members of my family weren’t welcome to the U.S. in their quest to escape famine. Founder of Planned Parenthood thought my relations should be sterilized in order to preserve purity of the ruling race. No, my family wasn’t recently freed slaves, although Stanger thought they also were “human weeds”. They were Irish. I am white, a descendent of people who found a place in America through hard work, family and faith. I am apologizing for nothing. If that hurts your feelings, too bad.
