Vanderbilt University Changed Event Title which Accused ‘White Women’ of Being Fake Allies

Vanderbilt University scheduled a workshop that had the title, “Fake Allyship and How White Women are Failing the Activist Struggle,” and after some inquiry, it was changed to “Performative Allyship: Make Sure You Can #dothework as an Ally.” It is interesting that the title was changed to be less antagonistic towards white women, but they kept the word “Allyship,” which appears to be an academic invention.
