Prominent anti-Trump professor, Tom Nichols at the Naval War College, has made it clear since the 2016 Republican primary that he is not a fan of the president. After President Trump’s recent remarks which blasted the FBI’s alleged bias against him and conservatives, the New York Times and Washington Post newspapers, Nichols claimed on social media platform Twitter that Trump is like a dictator of the banana republics. This reference is when American banana corporations would used to influence the governments of banana-producing Central American countries.
Another professor, Daniel Drezner at Tufts University, echoed similar sentiment in a reply to Nichols’s tweet.
