Each of the following states produced one president apiece and you might be surprised at the chief executives that go with each of them—Illinois, Kentucky, Nebraska, New Jersey and New Hampshire.
They are:
- Ronald Reagan, born in Tampico, Illinois
- Abraham Lincoln, born in Hodgenville, Kentucky
- Gerald Ford, born in Omaha, Nebraska
- Grover Cleveland, born in Caldwell, New Jersey
- Franklin Pierce, born in Hillsborough, New Hampshire. That’s right. The state that served as a battleground in so many bitterly fought presidential nomination contests actually only produced one president.
