Mark Bray, who is a lecturer at the Ivy League institution Dartmouth College, recently advocated for abolishing capitalism altogether. Bray has donated some of his book earnings to Antifa, the violent, black clothing-and-mask anti-fascist organization, which explains his column.
He wrote the column in Truthout, which is a left-wing website, and he said that the Left has to oppose the Right. He did not push for more civility in politics, but said, “Fascism is ascendant. The world is on fire. This is no time to be patient. If we don’t abolish capitalism, capitalism will abolish us.”
