Some high schools and community colleges are banking on green jobs training to get their graduates gainfully employed. “Community colleges — and at least one high school — are starting programs to train students for these in-demand occupations,” The Hechinger Report reports.
“Politicians may hotly debate climate change and what to do about it, but the economy has come down clearly on one side,” Sarah Garland writes in The Hechinger Report in a story that carries a Bruni, Texas dateline. “Jobs in clean energy are growing faster than any jobs in the United States.”
Yet and still, what she links to are U. S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics projections that project what will happen between 2016 and 2026. Well, maybe this time they’ll get lucky.
